Pledging your organs is a simple process. Just complete the online form, and you will receive the donor card with your unique registration number from the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO). While this card reflects your intention to donate, it does not carry legal authority. Keep it with you and, most importantly, share your decision with your family and loved ones.
Under Indian law, your next of kin decides organ donation after your death. Even if you've donated organs, family consent is needed. Discuss your donation desires with your family so they can act on your behalf if needed.
